Cost of Root Barriers

The cost of root barrier installation depends on a number of factors. First is the type of soil surrounding the house and the tree. Rocky soil is much more difficult and time consuming for the trench digging process. However, the southern and southeastern portions of Texas have predominately clay soils which are easier to dig. Other considerations are the number of trees in the area and how close they are to the house. Sometimes obstacles around the house or tree present a challenge.

In general the root barricade cost for property owners will fall within the following guidelines.

Under 20 linear feet – $65 per foot

More than 20 linear feet – $60 per foot
